About
All my life I have been interested in how things work, why things fail, and how to get them to function when there is no other option but to make them work again. Part of this stems from being the oldest of a very large family, 11 people, with my father being the sole provider as a school teacher. Like many families we rarely bought new, and when we did the intense usage of any object wore it out rapidly. My father was the master of duct tape. One of the greatest gifts he was given one Christmas was a whole case of it for himself. While the merits of duct tape are documented extensively most solutions to problems can be solved without resolving to massively sticky composite tape.
I have found that most problems or situations fit three categories:
1. Trivial
2. Casual
3. Catastrophic
Most of us deal with the first two categories on a daily basis, but depending on the situation surrounding the problem a trivial problem can become catastrophic for an individual or group.
My goal with this conversation is to present solutions to problems that I personally encounter and if possible provide advice on solutions to problems that you may encounter. I am not an expert and any advice expressed, offered, or implied, should be applied to any problem you may have only after personal research and contemplation, at your own risk and peril.
